Brittle materials and fracture
Metallic materials and cristalline approach
Soft materials
Coupling of experimental techniques
Bio-based and bio-materials
Training
A training session will be held on october 12th and 13th. In this session, 4 workshop will be proposed:
Fundamentals of indentation: from hardness measurement to instrumented indentation
Computational Hands-on n°1: homogeneous materials
Characterisation of fibers by the instrumented indentation: the cases of vegetal and synthetic fibers
Computational Hands-on n°2: thin films

Friday afternoon, a visit of ocean racing teams and boat construction facilities might be possible.
All contributionsand participants are welcome in this symposium.
Companies from the area (hardness, surface preparation, instrumented indentation, scratching, ...) are also welcomed and will be able to present their products and solutions either with a stand or an oral presentation.
It will be a great pleasure to welcome you in Lorient.
